Easy Snowy Photo Ornament DIY
Making Christmas More Personal With This Easy Snowy Photo Ornament DIY
Every year when I pull out my Christmas decorations, I love unwrapping the memories that come with them. The handmade ornaments, the ones my kids made in preschool, and the baubles that remind us of a special moment…they all tell a story. This year, I wanted to add something a little more personal to our tree, so I made snowy photo ornaments using my Persnickety Box photos. They turned out so sweet, and now my tree feels even more special.
What You’ll Need:
What You’ll Need:
Clear plastic photo ornament baubles (I grabbed mine at Hobby Lobby, or buy them in bulk on Amazon)
Prints from Persnickety Box
Pen & Scissors
Tape or double-sided adhesive
Fake snow, glitter, or confetti
Fun ribbons for hanging
Creating Your Snowy Photo Ornament
First, I went through my Persnickety Box prints and picked a few of my favorite moments from the year. I love having my photos printed and ready to go, and this was the perfect way to use them. They are also such a great size for this project having minimal cropping and cutting with the 4x4” size!
Next, I opened up one of the ornaments and traced the shape onto my photo. I cut out my two pictures and taped them back to back so it would look cute no matter how it turned on the tree.
Here is where the snowy look takes place! I sprinkled a little fake snow and glitter inside the ornament. You could add small sequins or any festive add-in if you want a little extra sparkle.
Once the photo was inside, I popped the ornament back together and swapped the top ribbon for one that matched my Christmas colors. They looked so holly jolly hanging on the tree! Ta-da! You just created your very own Snowy Photo Ornament!
A More Meaningful Christmas
Seeing my family’s faces twinkling among the lights makes my whole tree feel more meaningful. It’s not just about the decorations anymore, it’s about the memories. Every time I look at one of those ornaments, I’m reminded of a moment that really mattered.
This little DIY didn’t take much time, but it added so much heart to my holiday décor. There’s just something special about having your photos printed and displayed where you can actually enjoy them.
