How to Make DIY Glitter Photo Prints
Here’s how I made my glitter photo prints, step by step:
Pick your favorite photos.
Choose a few Persnickety Box prints that you love. Photos with bright spots, clothing details, or holiday lights look especially pretty with glitter.Add glue where you want sparkle.
Using a small paintbrush, lightly paint clear-drying glue on the areas you want to highlight. I like to add glitter to things like twinkly lights, dresses, or shiny snow…anywhere the light naturally hits in the photo.Sprinkle on your glitter.
Gently sprinkle clear or iridescent glitter over the glued areas. Then tap off the excess and watch the sparkle appear.Clean up the edges.
If a little glitter or glue goes outside the lines (which always happens to me), use an X-Acto knife or straight edge to carefully remove any extra. Just be gentle so you don’t scratch the photo paper.Let it dry and dust it off.
Once your photo is fully dry, use a soft, fluffy brush to remove any leftover glitter. Now you’ve got a beautiful, shimmery keepsake that looks straight out of a boutique.
